I became a web designer because I am an opera fan.

In 1995 I "discovered" the fabulous voice of coloratura soprano Edita Gruberova, whom I first heard in a telecast. At that time I already had Internet access, and I started looking for information about her. I found some info, but she had no dedicated page on the Net. So, I followed the Internet principle, "If you can't find it, make it", and the first version of the "Gruberova Fan Page" came online on Feb. 1, 1996.

As a web designer, I use my knowledge of human factors engineering, trying to make webpages which are usable (providing relevant and useful info, easy to navigate, compatible with most browsers).
A crucial aspect to any decent webpage is its being up-to-date. So I take special care in keeping the pages which I maintain up-to-date (even though it takes up a lot of time and energy).
